A Study On The Influencing Factors Of Industrial Transformation And Upgrading

Currently, the development of Guangzhou’s urbanization is shifting from thestage of scale expansion to quality improvement. Standing at a new historical startingpoint, Guangzhou established a great strategic concept:” Out of a low-carboneconomy, urban intellectual, social civilization, ecological and beautiful, urban andrural integration, living a happy new urbanization development path”. This has notonly strengthened the urgency of industrial transformation and upgrading ofGuangzhou City, at the same time, it also provides an opportunity and pointes out thedirection for the industry transformation and upgrading. Industrial transformation andupgrading has produced a series of positive influence on Guangzhou’s economic andsocial development, which is becoming a stimulate growth accelerator. Acceleratingthe transformation and upgrading of industry, enhancing the industry corecompetitiveness, and promoting new urbanization, the benign interaction of thesethree will make Guangzhou, the millennium ancient city, once again full of powerfulvitality, and remain invincible in the fierce competition in the world city.Firstly, this paper simply introduces the progress of research both at home andabroad, and states the related concepts, connotation, and theoretical basis. Secondly,From the view of theoretical, analysis the factors of Guangzhou industrial upgradingof the transformation, mainly including the three major factors which influencethe industrial transformation and upgrading, the favorable and unfavorable factors ofGuangzhou industry transformation and upgrading, and the reason is discussed.Thirdly, From the empirical point of view, econometric analysis the influencingfactors of Guangzhou by principal component and multiple regression, finding outthat the five major factors are: technological innovation, industrial structure, humanresources, social system and ecological environment. Finally, from the aspectsof country, province and city, put forward some Policy recommendations to accelerate the Guangzhou industrial transformation and upgrading. Guangzhou city should becombined with its own characteristics of industrial structure, city developmentposition, strategic objectives, selects the industry of large potential, in order topromote the transformation and upgrading of industry.
