Research On Selection And Development Of Leading Industry Of County Region

In regional economic pattern and regional relationships, the leading industry as the main industry who gains regional economic interests is the image of regional economy. Developing leading industry in scale and level to a certain extent determines the development scale and level of regional economy as a whole. Therefore, the better selecting and developing of leading industry is the major issue of each regional economic development.As a special state of regional economies, the county economy is within the scope of regional economics. It can be said, the county leading industry as the core industry in county economy also has the general characteristics of the one in regional economy. With its huge development potential and strong correlation effect, it can drive and promote the development of other sectors in the county. Meanwhile, the selection and development of county leading industry has a great importance on coordinating various county industries, optimizing and upgrading the county industrial structure and promoting the healthy development of the entire county economy.Obviously, county economy is different from the national economy. In essence, it is an economy with local characteristics. In other word, the selection of county leading industry cannot copy the selecting model of state dominated industries. It has to be selected and developed from the objective reality of the county, according to the local circumstances. Hence, through what method, selecting what kind of industry is of great significances for the revitalization of the county economy.Based on the theory of Industrial Economics, Development Economics and related disciplines, this paper aims to get a clear understanding of the leading industrial selection and the related concepts, sort out leading industry related theory, then analyze the influencing factors on the county leading industrial selection, and finally formulate the criteria for the selection of county leading industry, so as to accordingly establish the quantitative standard evaluation system of county leading industrial selection. With this evaluation system, the pros and cons of various quantitative analysis methods for the county leading industrial selection can be evaluated.In this paper, take He County as an example, employing factor analytic method and using SPSS statistical software for data operation and analysis obtain the score sorting results of the leading industries.According to the results of quantitative analysis for each industry candidate, combined with the qualitative analysis of relevant industries and the influencing factors as follows:county development status, state industrial policy orientation, comparatively competitive industries and industrial driving effects etc. further screen and determine the leading industry in He County.At the end, take He County for instance, offering relevant proposals for the development of county leading industry and giving specifically practical measures.
