According to this standard, china has118medium-sized resource-based cities, through the analysis of these cities we can obtained the common characteristics of the resource-based cities in China:(l)Single economic structure and a high degree of resource dependence;(2)Fall into "Resource curse", economic development inefficiently;(3)ecentralized structure of urban space;(4)Deterioration of the ecological environment, the social contradictions become complex;(5)Faced with the problem of resource depletion, economic and social transformation is complex.
