The the collection of farmers’ land is an inevitable phenomenon with the acceleration ofChina’s urbanization process, and the question how the government effectively safeguard thefarmer’s life against these affections in the future ensued. Recently, peasant’s social securityattracted more and more attention, and this paper will exploratively researche into some problemson the social security of landless peasants in the process of urbanization.Firstly, this paper introduces the survival current situation of the landless peasants in theurbanization process in China and the difficulties they faced, than presented some effective ways tosolve problems on landless peasants.Secondly, the paper analyzed and compared the representative of the Farmers Social Securitymodel all over China and some foreign-related practice to sum up the current problems facing thesocial security system of China’s peasants. It is shown mainly in the following respects: foremost, fragmentation of social security institution leads to difficulties of talent flow. There is no unifiedinstitution for land-lost farmers’ social security, because various social security arrangements hasbeen established in different parts and in different historical periods. Also because of hisphenomenon, if land-lost farmers migrated to different places, all of these social securityarrangements had gaps resulting in the difficulties of talent flow. Furthermore, low level ofprotection for landless peasants is another big problem. In China, we all know that the main fundingfor landless peasants comes from land acquisition compensation, but a combination of low standardfor land expropriation and the limited financial ability of government caused lower size ofcompensation, that is lower level for land-lost farmers’ social security. Finally, this paper gave advice on current social security system of the landless peasants inChina: first of all, in order to overcome the difficulties of migration caused by the disunity of socialsecurity system mobility around the country, landless farmers with lower level of protection shouldbe brought into into the existing urban residents social security systems. In the second place, landexpropriation compensation should be increased in order to solve low level of protection. Onceagain, it should be attempted that land use right and ownership are separated in the process of landacquisition. Fourthly, allow land-lost peasants proposal of alternative compensation, by whichprotection of the landless peasants can to some extent be improved under the limited financial resources. In a word, make every effort to improve the level of social security of landless peasantsin a unified social security system.
