Since the economic reform in China, the government and numerous power practitioners never stop exploring for the reform of the electric power industry. Especially after2002, the reform in power industry has entered a rapid development period. The separation of power generation and transmission, the separation of the main and the auxiliary business and the separation of functions of government and company have been performed. Market and competition are introduced in the power industry. For the power maintenance company, the opportunities and challenges coexist. Therefore, we must make suitable enterprise development strategy, and implement the strategy effectively. Only in this way, we can have a good future.Along with changes of the national and local policy, as well as the formulation and implementation of the development plan of Jingneng group and thermal power plant, the maintenance branch of Beijing Jingneng Thermal Power Co., Ltd, also need change.In this paper, according to the enterprise strategy management theory, such as strategy analysis, strategy choice, Strategy formulation, strategy implementation, evaluation and control, based on the actual situation of the enterprise, we collect and analysis a large amount of data on the industry and the company. At the same time,we use management, strategy management, management economics, human resource management, quality management and other related disciplines of knowledge and method, combine qualitative and quantitative research and empirical research methods,,made clear the direction of the corporate management and strategic situation and develop a suitable development strategy for the maintenance branch. The specific development targets and measures, and the relevant functional-level strategy and the specific measures are put forward. In the end, we preliminary discuss the evaluation and control method for the strategy.In this way, we hope to provide theoretical and practical guidance for the future development of the maintenance branch, also provide some references for other power maintenance companies.
