As the economy of the Yangtze River Delta region into the middle stage of industrialization and the upgrade of economic structure, labor flow becomes the hot spot of the academic circles in recent years. Based on the statement and analysis of the traditional theories about labor flow, the thesis use the previous research results and build labor flow theory model that the external labor migration to the Yangtze River Delta region is not only impacted by the high-income marginal gains, but also impacted by the high-income marginal costs; the flow of rural labor to city is not only impacted by high-income marginal gains, but also impacted by high-income marginal cost. The increase of flow and transfer cost impedes the transfer of rural surplus labor and impedes the transfer of the labor force outside. Then the thesis through empirical analysis use the data of the Yangtze River Delta region in1995-2010years, confirm the above theory, and further clear the influence factors of labor flow. This thesis analysis of the domain and dweller average income ratio, blame farming industry GDP ratio, the resident consumption price index ratio, town unemployment rate on external labor inflow effects; analysis the income gap between urban and rural residents, blame farming industry to GDP ratio, urban and rural residents per capita consumption expenditure ratio, the unemployment rate in cities and towns of rural labors transfer to the town, finally, based on the conclusion of the analysis is to promote the rational flow of labor, put forward several policy recommendations.
