With China’s economic development, the process of urbanization gradually accelerate therapid growth of urban population, a large number of floating population poured into the city,the frequent exchanges of personnel travel and supplies, the city’s traffic situation isincreasingly grim. At present, the cities of the prevalence of road congestion, traffic jams,chaotic traffic phenomena. How to solve the urban traffic problem has become the focus ofattention of the community. Experience has shown that urban rail transit safety, thequasi-point, comfortable and convenient features. The development of urban rail transit cangreatly ease the city’s traffic pressure. Therefore, in recent years, China have launched subwayconstruction project. The country set off a subway construction boom.However, the construction of rail transit investment is huge. In general, subwayconstruction cost per kilometer is about$500million. A rail transit lines need billions ofdollars, even hundreds of billion. Also, because of urban rail transit has obvious social welfare,resulting in existence of the profitability of the operators ticketing limitations. Therefore, thesustainable development of urban rail transit companies has become a subject to be studied.Guangzhou Metro Corporation, responsible for the construction and operation of theGuangzhou subway project, responsible for the planning of metro lines, design, demolition,construction, operation and ancillary resources development. Direct governmentadministration to manage all aspects from construction to operations, through the relevantfunctional departments of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, ConstructionCommission, the Exchange Commission, participate in subway construction and operationmanagement. Through19years of construction and operation of the development as one ofthe pioneers of the urban rail transport in China, Guangzhou Metro has been the formation ofeight lines of236km of rail transit network. Innovative thinking, explore new ideas, todetermine the direction of the company’s future development under the current environmentof the subway construction boom, to seek suitable development opportunities, bigger andstronger, is placed in front of the Guangzhou Metro Corporation, an urgent problem.Guangzhou Metro to implement the business model of construction, operation andintegration.Its greatest feature is the formation of a relative monopoly of resources, on thebasis of the overall planning to achieve the organic integration of resources, to maximize themarginal benefit. This paper aims to use the scientific method of analysis, the GuangzhouMetro Corporation as a research subject, by analyzing the internal resources and externalenvironment in Guangzhou Metro Corporation, the enterprise have the ability to self-hematopoietic and sustainable development point of view to start, the study identifiedGuangzhou Metro Corporation, the development of strategic choice. Strategy implementationand protection of research results and draw the match with their resources and environmentalopportunities of the Guangzhou Metro Corporation.
