Since the beginning of this new century, because of economic globalization developing rapidly, the competition in the market is sustained growing, the building-up and reservation of the competitive advantage relies on the reaction speed and operational efficiency of the organization more and more. Team as the basic unit of most organizations’ structure plays an important role on rapid response to the change of the internal and external business environment. It has became an urgent problem of enterprise management that how to maintain a balance between the team’s goals and team members’ interpersonal relationship. On the basis of the classic I-P-O model of team effectiveness, this thesis expands the empirical study around the team climate, team conflict and team effectiveness, in purpose of providing a meaningful reference for team building and management.Firstly, this thesis defined the connotation of the team climate, team conflict and team effectiveness through extensive literature review. It builds the conceptual framework of this study combined with the classic team effectiveness models, and relates the research hypotheses. Secondly, the thesis draws ideas from more mature scales to design and modify the questionnaire, and conducts a questionnaire survey. Then, using SPSS and AMOS to do a statistical analysis of the150team data, aims to verify the hypothesis. The main conclusions lie as follow:(1) there are significant differences on team climate and team conflict between different teams from different characteristics;(2) significant relationship exists among team climate, team conflict, and team effectiveness;(3) team climate has an effect upon team conflict and team effectiveness;(4) team conflict plays a partial mediating role between team climate and team effectiveness. Finally, thesis puts forward three suggestions on team management:clear team goals, and improve the management system; pay more attention to conflict management, and guide favorable conflict; strengthen the construction of team culture, and create a good team climate.
