With the acceleration of the process of global economic integration, market competition will become more intense, in order to maintain the sustainable development of enterprises, technological innovation is needed for them to improve their market competitiveness and the capability of independent innovation.However, technological innovation brings success and the potential risk, technological innovation activities may be postponed, suspended, failed and not achieve the desired economic effect, due to the uncertainties of the external environment, technical difficulty and complexity, the limited nature of the enterprise. Effective management of the risk of technological innovation projects can improve likelihood of success and innovation benefits. Therefore, how to manage the risks of technological innovation projects, prevent the risk occurring in this process, and actively seek the opportunities to improve the ability to prevent and control the risks in order to ensure the success rate of technological innovation, is a very important and urgent task. That is why enterprises should give sufficient attention to risk management of technological innovation projects.The study takes large-scale manufacturing enterprise technological innovation projects as the research object, uses literature, qualitative and quantitative methods and systems analysis methods, combined with the characteristics of technological innovation projects, integrated use the theory of project life cycle, project management and risk management,divides large-scale manufacturing enterprise technological innovation projects into different phases.In accordance with the risk management process of projects, based on the research of risk identification, risk evaluation and risk response, this study develops the risk management process of large-scale manufacturing enterprise technological innovation projects, analyzes and evaluates project risks in six aspects:external environment, markets, management, technology, schedule, finance, and establishes a risk evaluation indicator system for large-scale manufacturing enterprise technological innovation projects, raises the measures of the project risk management, provides some reference for similar projects.This study takes6MW direct drive permanent magnet wind turbine development project as an example, analyzes the project risks according to the theory of risk management, and finally summarizes the inadequacies of the study.
