In recent years, the social capital of entrepreneurs has become a hot issue of socialconcern. Due to their core status in the enterprises, the social capital of Entrepreneursplay a significant role in taking scarce resources and maintaining healthy and stabledevelopment for enterprises. Viewing the process of enterprise development, we caninfer that enterprise faces different opportunities and risks at different developmentstages and the effect of entrepreneur social capital will change accordingly. To keepgrowing healthily and smoothly, enterprises urgently need entrepreneurial social capitaladapting the corporate life cycle.Based on the corporate life cycle theory, we explore the relationship betweenentrepreneurial social capital and firm performance. Referring to the existing research,we combine the corporate life cycle theory, theory of social capital and entrepreneurialtheory, getting innovation in the research perspective and methods, the conclusions andrecommendations.This article is divided into five chapters: the first chapter briefly discusses thebackground and significance of the research, and review the entrepreneurial socialcapital and business performance relationship status, then propose the research thinkingand structural arrangements, based on the existing study of home and abroad. Followedby the related to the definition and theoretical analysis of this article which is the basisfor the study, it defines three important concepts, and then analyzes the affection of theentrepreneurial social capital to firm performance at the enterprise four life cycle stagesin details. Then it introduces the main part of the article. Firstly, it defines and measureseach variable operationally, and establishes a dynamic interpretation model ofcorporatized entrepreneurial social capital, then evaluates the impact of the variouscomponents of entrepreneurial social capital on the firm performance at different lifecycle stages through correlation and regression analysis. The empirical results show that:the impact of the entrepreneurial social capital on business performance is different andthe various components of the entrepreneurs social capital is significantly different tothe business performance relationship in different stages of enterprise life. In Chineselisted companies, entrepreneurs use their social capital, mainly depending on theirvertical relationships, ignoring the use of lateral relations, which reflects theentrepreneur common problem of the management and the building of corporate culture.The last part is the conclusion, policy recommendations and inadequacies of this article. Based on the results of empirical testing, we separately study the different aspects ofentrepreneurial social capital at different stages, and put forward policyrecommendations to adjust entrepreneurs longitudinal network of relationshipsreasonably and continuously improve the level of entrepreneurs’ credibility etc.
