Pushing research of the relationship between intellectualproperty rights protection and export trade. Endogenous growth theory argued that theknowledge accumulation is the source of economic growth, and a comparativeadvantage is the premise of the trade. Along with the development of internationaltrade, knowledge and technology content of goods and services products becomehigher, the relation between intellectual property rights and international tradebecomes more and more close.This study of the export trade from the export tradevolume and technical structure of export trade two aspects to explore. Technicalstructure of export trade which accorded Lall(2000) technology classificationstandards of the export good, corresponding to the three digits classification code ofSITC Rev export products,according to the technical constitute,239products aredivided into5kinds: primary products, resource products, low technologymanufactured goods, medium technology manufactured goods and high technologymanufactured goods, Using the expansion model of gravity, selected the panel data of32countries and regions which are contrade-parter of china, empirical analysised withsystem GMM.The empirical results show that: In the empirical analysis of total exporttrade, whether based on the number of patents granted for intellectual propertyprotection or the GP index as an alternative variable, the Chinese intellectual propertyprotection are significantly promote export trade.But use different metrics forintellectual property protection technical structure of the export trade, the empiricalanalysis, there have been some differences.In general, the role of Intellectual propertyprotection on export products are influenced by good’s content of technical, When thetechnology level of the products is moderate, intellectual property protection canpromote its exports. But, when the technology level of the products is low or high, theeffect is not significant, even, it is an obstacle. Finally，based on the conclusion oftheoretical analysis and empirical test, proposed some policies to optimize the structure of China’s export trade, first, perfecting the system of intellectual propertyrights protection; second, enhancing enterprise’s the ability of independent innovation;third, improving the social awareness of protection, fourth, increasing FDI and theintroduction of foreign advanced technology efforts and other ways to strengthenChina’s export trade measures. |
