As an important code in the integrated logistics network, the functions of port have gradually diversification. With the increasingly mature development of globalization economic, port is playing more and more important role in the promotion of a country or a region’s economy trade that can’t be replaced. As a comprehensive open international port in the north shore of Bohai Bay, based on good geographical location advantage, Jinzhou port achieves21.5%growth in port’s cargo throughput each year, but at the same time, Jinzhou port also faces the competition around the port, and the competition is disadvantage to Jinzhou port. Therefore, in order to occupy a favorable position, and realize the100million tons construction target, this article mainly research Jinzhou port from the following aspects:First, we mainly introduce the service, transportation, industry and trade function, national military, on this basis we make clear the effect of port in promoting regional economic and trade development, finally make simple introduction of Jinzhou port’s action in the development of regional economy, which lay foundation for the analysis of the inside and outside environment.Secondly, we get the port’s advantage, disadvantage, opportunities and challenges by using the knowledge of corporate strategic management to analysis the external and internal environment. According to recent years throughput, we use the theory of grey system to forecast Jinzhou ports’throughput in coal, oil and the container, in order to grasp the development of cargo throughput in Jinzhou port.Finally, based on comprehensive analysis of Jinzhou ports’ external、 internal environment and throughput estimation, we put forward strategy suggestions in order to achieve the target of100million tons port.
