| Cruise is a kind of tourism consumption mode which developed from the ocean liner in1960s. Cruise tourism has been the world’s fastest-growing tourism product by the growth rate of8%-9%; the economic profits of Cruise Homeport is10-14times of P.O.C, which is very essentialto port cities of developed countries. Under the circumstance, the building and operation ofDongjiang International Cruise Homeport has significant impact on Tianjin tourism industry.This paper based on some principal theories of Cruise Industry, then analyzes the meaningand function of the Cruise Homeport construction to the port city through describing the statusquo of construction and operation of world famous Cruise Homeport; then summarizes andassesses the present situation of tourism development in Tianjin, and analyzes the characteristicsand disadvantages of Tianjin tourism resources; finally sums up the influences brought by theconstruction of Cruise Homeport.This paper includes three parts as following:The first part makes a distinction between Cruise Industry and Cruise Economy and otherrelated conceptions. Through the analysis of status quo of Cruise Homeport both at home andabroad, this part discusses the positive impacts brought by the construction of Cruise Homeport.The second part summarizes and assesses the present situation of tourism development inTianjin, and finds out the characteristics and disadvantages of Tianjin tourism resources.Adopting the method of questionnaire，this part studies the market demand of tourism resourcesassociated with Cruise Tourism at tourist level.The third part is the core of this paper. Based on the above analysis and combined with thequestionnaire survey, this part discusses the positive effects on development of Tianjin tourismindustry caused by the construction of Cruise Homeport, states the impact on tourism equipmentmanufacturing industry, structure of tourism product, marine tourism industry, tourism image,building international tourism destination. |
