With the advent of knowledge economy, the size of the enterprise group expands largely.The enterprise group as one of the most important forms of modern industrial organization,grows stronger and has attracted more and more attention and research from the domestic andforeign experts and scholars. Cross-regional flow of human resource in enterprise group isbecoming more and more popular, and the flow of expatriates is also accompanied by the flowof knowledge. As one of the most important strategic resources, the strategic role ofknowledge in promoting enterprise group becomes increasingly evident. Expatriate humanresource is the main body of knowledge acquisition, transfer, sharing, innovation, andapplication. Human resource assignment of enterprise group in essence has become theprocess of enterprise group’s absorption, innovation and application of different knowledge,so the knowledge acquisition, application and innovation capability of expatriates has becomea source of competitive advantages of enterprise group. Only enterprise group gives theexpatriates management taking the knowledge management as the sore, so it can enhance itsmarket competitiveness itself.Firstly, this paper reviews the theories of expatriate human resource management andknowledge management. Based on the specificity of knowledge, this paper does research onexpatriate human resource management of enterprise group in China basing on the angle ofthe knowledge management. The questionnaire which is suitable for this paper is designedafter borrowing ideas from the domestic and foreign research foundation, referring to thedomestic and foreign mature scale and related literature and modifying them. After analyzingthe collected data using the software SPSS16.0, we can know that the incentive mechanism,leadership support, organizational structure, organizational culture and employee traininghave a positive impact on knowledge management capability of the expatriates; Then on thebasis, this paper constructs expatriate human resource management model of enterprise groupin China based on the knowledge management, then starts with four processes of theexpatriates staff planning and recruitment, expatriate training and development, performancemanagement and compensation management, adjustment of returned to the parent company,finally it comes to the result that all factors has significantly positive impact on expatriate knowledge management capability, and expatriates’ knowledge management capability canpromote expatriates’ human resource management performance of enterprise group in China;Finally, in order to further promote expatriate human resource management of enterprisegroup in China and improve knowledge management capabilities of the expatriates, this paperput forward several measures of optimizing expatriates human resource management ofenterprise group in China, enterprise group should establish and improve the incentivemechanism, create a shared type of organizational culture, design the flat organizationstructure, strengthen the leadership support, provide personalized employee training and soon.Expatriates have a positive role in promoting the development of Enterprise group, in theface of increasingly competitive environment, enterprise group must take the effective humanresource management means to expatriates for effective management. This paper willprovide some theoretical basis and practical guidance for expatriate human resourcemanagement of enterprise group.
