So the construction of satellite cities ofChongqing city will be benefit to share the functions of the main city, ease thecongestion pressure, help improve metropolitan urban system, and promote the healthydevelopment of the metropolitan area.Firstly, the essay is a combination of the theory of urban sprawl, Garden Citytheory, the theory of concentric circles, the organic evacuation theory, core theory ofeconomic theory on the construction of satellite towns and location theory. Based on theplanning and construction-related issues, this essay confines the satellite towns, as wellas their characteristics and functions, then points out the concept of urban constructionwhich has always accompanied the process of urbanization, with great attention.Secondly, by figuring out the satellite towns development mechanism, from aperspective of influencing the satellite towns function on transport and economy, weselect the seven satellite city of Chongqing City after defining Municipality City exurbfrom the model of the satellite towns; thirdly, having chosen the main city of Chongqingsatellite towns, this essay holds a view the spatial makeup can be in accordance with thestructure of the central city (mother city)+peripheral city+suburbs of satellite towns+outer suburbs of regional central cities+the way of the key central city architecture; atlast, we can promote some development strategies from strengthening the central citywith satellite towns, improving the infrastructure in satellite towns and ecologicalconstruction, to push the development of spatial structure of Chongqing city in areasonable and orderly way.
