Since2008, with the news paper price, society of average wage increasingly fierce, the newspaper as the main traditional media in the plight of the management cost greatly improve which pushed by materials and labor costs rising. In this situation, the newspaper group are all changed its name to media group to suit the new times, through the integration of news site, mobile phone news, the electronic reader and other new media. However, printing as the important link of the newspaper industry chain is still in the media group huge cost center. Facing the print media circulation attenuation and rapid growth of the printing costs, how to position of printing business development strategy once again become the key problem of newspaper group. This problem shows more urgent for Hua Shang media group.This article recounts the Hua Shang media group printing business, clear the development direction of the diversified printing business, formulated development planning, make Hua Shang Digital become Hua Shang media group new profit growth point through the diversity of printing business development, and also provide a powerful reference for the rest of the newspaper group printing unit’s strategic development.This article take the macro market development as the starting point, through a large number of data analysis, and PEST analysis method, the enterprise factor analysis method, the SWOT analysis tools and Boston matrix, and other strategic and research tools, analyze Hua Shang Digital have the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and then put forward by " the cost of supporting the newspaper printing as the center of the Hua Shang media group," the strategic orientation and its core competitiveness to match the related diversification printing development strategy transformation. Through by the newspapers printing, Business printing, packaging printing and digital printing as the main path of strategy, and finally achieve the national first-class comprehensive printing enterprise.
