Vocational education is an important component of China’s educations system. As a special type of vocational education, the five-year vocational education aims at cultivating specialized high quality talents according to the demands of social economy developmcnt. However, the humanistic education can not match the pace of five-year vocational education while delivering lots of talents. So, based on the tourism major, the thesis focused on how to improve the humanistic education in five-year vocational education to cultivate talents which fits the demands of Tourism Administration, industry association, travel agent. Hotels, tourism resorts and so on.In the thesis, we took Wuxi Higher Vocational School of Tourism and Commerce as example, made a deep research on the current conditions of humanistic education in five-year vocational diploma, and tried to find a way to improve it. Meanwhile, based on software SPSS, we made a deep analysis on the factors that influence the humanistic education in five-year vocational education. At last, we concluded a way how to improve the humanistic education in five-year vocational education.There are five parts in the thesis. The first part is preface of the thesis; in this part we explained the background, contracture, methods of the research and the research status in this field. The second part is the current situation of humanistic education in five-year vocational education diploma. In this part, we tried to find the current situation through a survey on humanistic education of Wuxi Higher Vocational School of Tourism and Commerce, and indicated the necessity of improving humanistic education. The third part, methods to improve humanistic education in five-year vocational education diploma, in this part we defined the demands of tourism industry through experts interview and brain storm. Also combined with the SPSS analysis, draw the key factors that influent humanistic education in five-year vocational education diploma. The fourth part, implement and endeavor of humanistic education in five-year vocational education diploma, is the core part of the thesis. In this part we succeed to explore a way to improve humanistic education in five-year vocational education diploma in terms of Curriculum, teaching methods, practice education, campus culture as well as teaching team. At last, we indicated the shortage of our research and the direction of the follow-up research.
