Research On Sustainable Development Of Songtao Manganese Resources Based On Low-Carbon Concept

Located in the "manganese triangle",Songtao Miao Autonomous County of Guizhou is known as "China’s manganese capital".The development and utilization of manganese ore resources has made tremendous contribution for the development of social economy. However, the industry in the Songtao Miao Autonomous County has certain features including resource exhaustion, great environmental pressure, unreasonable industrial structure. Based on the concept of low-carbon, through the wild field survey, enterprise interview, literature consulting, data analysis method, and the comparison and analysis of manganese ore mineralization environment between Songtao manganese and other parts of southern China, this paper made an analysis and compare on the development present situation between Songtao manganese industry and other local manganese industry, summarized the experience, and analyzed the problem, discussed the sustainable development model of Songtao manganese industry. This paper drew several conclusions as follow:1) Songtao’s manganese ores mainly occur in a sapropel carbon muddy sediments of the bottom of the first part of the Datangpo formation, lower series of Nanhua system, which consists of carbonaceous shale, carbonaceous silty claystone, carbonaceous rhodochrosite, dolomite, tuffaceous sandstone and shale and claystone,manganese carbonate is the main manganese ores and followed by manganese oxide.Generally, The thickness of seam varies from0.5m to9m with the thickest at13.04m, the thinnest of0.50m and an average thickness of2m. Striped structure and block structure are the main structural types of manganese ores which contains laminated structure and brecciated structure.2) Compared with the manganese ore’s mineralization environment of Hunan, Guangxi, Yunnan, sedimentary deposit is the main type of Songtao manganese ore, which has the characteristics of low temperature hydrothermal, the advantages of stable output layer, abundant resources reserves, great prospecting potential advantages, and the disadvantages of low grade, high content of impurities, bad optional.3) The output value of manganese industry is more than half of the total output value of the county large-Capacity industrial enterprises,plays a decisive role in the region’s economic development.But compared with Chongqing xiushan, Hunan huayuan, although Songtao manganese ore resources are rich, but failed to realize the maximization of economic benefit.4) In the process of future development, it is necessary for Songtao’s traditional industries to adjust the industrial structure, realize the industry structure optimization, construct network of industrial cluster, develop the new product new technology research and development, develop low carbon energy conservation and environmental protection technology, the comprehensive utilization of resources, make resource conservation and environment friendly sustainable development mode...
