With the development of higher education, more and more people have theopportunity to enter college, our country is being gradually narrowed the educationalgap between the developed countries in the world. Meanwhile, unemployment amonggraduates is widespread concern by the community, then become a hot topic in recentyears. College students unemployment is not only a waste of educational resources ofthe country, but also reduce the enthusiasm of the people to invest in education, andcausing social injustice, exacerbated by the gap between the rich and the poor, and aserious impact on social harmony and stability. This issue from the perspective of the labor market to analysis college studentsunemployment, the theoretical framework is "dual labor market segmentation ",onthe base of existing literature, integrated use of research tools and methods of laboreconomics and information economics, according to normative analysis and empiricalresearch to reveal the underlying causes of unemployment among graduates. Finally, give some measures and recommendations, and rethink on the past policy. The main conclusions in this issue are: China’s employment elasticity is low andthe three industry development is slow are the macroscopical reason caused theunemployment of college students. In the primary labor market, unemploymentamong graduates is due to the weakening of the absorptive capacity of state-ownedenterprises and foreign enterprises on the employment of university graduates; rapiddevelopment of higher education and reducing of higher education students lead tostudents diploma evaluation, then exacerbating their employment more difficult. Inthe secondary labor market, mainly of them are voluntary unemployment. The onehand, there is a gap because the reservation wage and real wages, then continue tosearch in the labor market,on the other hand students do not want to be long-term"lock" in the secondary labor market.I hope the issue to be innovative in the following points:(1) In the past the researches of college student unemployment are most focus on individuals or colleges In this paper, applicate the market segmentation theory, from the perspective of the labor market to analyze the causes of unemployment ofcollege students.(2) Higher education develop too fast causing the devaluation of diplomas, anduse information economics theory to reveals the internal mechanism of it.
