Research Of Logistics Management System In Small-Medium Enterprises

With the rapid development of China’s logistics industry, the competition in logistics market has been and will be increasingly fierce, what’s more, informatization and automation will play a dominate role in the development of modern logistics enterprises. Hence seeking for the survival in the fierce competition among oversea and large state-owned enterprises at home is definitely a challenge for those small-medium enterprises. In this paper, the author believes that the small and medium enterprises should establish the logistics information system based on computer information technology. Only through the establishment of the logistics information system can the small-medium enterprises get through the close siege and informationize modern logistics gradually.This paper introduces the development of informationization of logistics enterprise in China and gives a general overview of existing theory on logistics management system. Furthermore, the paper throws light on the significance and necessity of establishing information system. Finally after the analysis of components of the information system, the paper presents ways to regulate information system.In this paper, Henyue logistics company is quoted as a case. Located in Longtan, Nanjing, Henyue logistics company is a typical small-medium logistics enterprise. After an investigation into the business process, the author analyses its specific process and its characteristics in details. Then based on the current situation of informationization and the problems the company is facing, this paper presents a detailed and feasible implementing scheme to establish the logistics information system including the customer-oriented subsystems:customer service and tracking subsystem, and the company-oriented subsystems:business, storage and finance subsystem. Then this paper illustrates the function module of all the business subsystems and typical application.Logistics information system is essential to the development of small-medium enterprises. It is indispensable for the survival of small and medium sized logistics enterprises in an increasingly competitive market. Hopefully, this paper will be useful for the study of development of small-medium enterprises.
