The Current States And Planning Strategy Of Aquaculture Of Longyan City In Fujian Province

Longyan city is situated at the northwest of Fujian province, which has many advantages in developing Aquaculture. With many years’efforts, the inland aquaculture area of Longyan city reached to8590hectares including2474hectares of pond culture and5786hectares of reservoir culture. The total production of freshwater aquaculture products was35thousand tons.There are300reseviors with the area of10467hectares.In2008, the aquaculture area reached to7339hectares and the total volum of cage culture was nearly0.5million square,which leaped into the front ranks of the inland districts and cities in Fujian province.Aquaculture ranked the third of the rural economic advantages in Longyan city. It is the target industry in the agricultural restructure and a new growth opportunity of rural economic.The current states and environmental issues of aquaculture of Longyan city were analised in this paper.By using the aquaculture experience of other places in China for reference, applying the theory of the aquatic environment and aquaculture plans and combining the problems occurred in the aquacultulture practice and plans of Longyan city, we put forwarded that the aquaculture should put emphasis on the measures and strategies,including optimizing production layout,operating the programes on reconstruction and supplement of fishery infrastructures,enhancing the project of improved varieties and inducing new spicies,developing the inland open waters’resources and protecting the aquatic environment, establishing the non-pollution demonstrating base to promote the process of fishery industrialization. So that it can provide the main theoretical basis and support for the transition to the sustaining fishery and establishment of the aquaculture plan. The analisis and nominated planning stategy of Longyan city offer the theoretical foundations for establishing aquaculture plans and paly an actual and positive role on constructing harmonious fishery and promoting the suatainable and healthy development of aquaculture of Lonyan city.The study involved in this paper has a theoretical values and plays a guiding role on oerating the similar ones.
