The Research Of Rural Tourism Development And Plan In Impoverished Mountainous Areas An Example Of Wangcang County In Sichuan Province

Tourism industry has already demonstrated the enormous function in the nationaleconomic growth as the leading industry in tertiary industry. The rural tourism as a partof tourism industry is beneficial to develop the local economy, promote the nationalincome repartition and adjust industrial structure as well as improve the local farmers’production technology level and finally realize the aim of the pro-poor-tourism tactic.Therefore, the research of rural tourism development in impoverished mountainousareas shall make rural tourism have a better and faster development. Moreover, it is anessential measure to improve the farmers’ income, stimulate agricultural synergism andenhance financial resources. Rural tourism also has positive effect to solve the ThreeRural Issues (agriculture, rural areas and farmers) and produce new economic growthpoint in rural tourism.Based on the previous research, and guided by basis theory of rural tourismdevelopment, this article gives a deep analysis of rural tourism development inimpoverished mountainous areas as well as in perspective of pro-poor-tourism theories.Meanwhile, it gives an example analysis on Rural Tourism Plan of Wangcang Countyand sums up4developing models, which seek to realize the aim of thepro-poor-tourism strategy while enrich past rural tourism research results furthertheoretically.
