Research On The Impact Of Tourism Poverty Alleviation In Ethnic Areas On Farmers' Household Income In Poor Villages

The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has put forward an important strategic that let the poor in poverty-stricken areas achieve a victory poverty alleviation and realize a well-off society with the whole country.Affected by environment,economy,cultural and history background,the ethnic areas with characteristic of poor widely and deeplp,are important and difficult in our country's poverty alleviation work.So it is necessary to choose an endogenous development mechanism based on the resource endowment of the ethnic regions and the ability of poverty alleviation in order to achieve effective and sustainable poverty alleviation.With the characteristics of strong correlation effect,fast development speed and strong employment-driven ability,Pro-Poor tourism is an important part of poverty alleviation strategy in China.The minority area can make use of its unique custom culture and the natural resources superiority regarding the Pro-Poor tourism as a kind of poverty-relief way and realize the regional economy development sustainably.Whether Pro-Poor tourism can really improve income of the poverty population is to be an important research topic that with China entering the critical period of precision policy and in-depth tackling.Based on the survey data from 6 villages of 4 counties in Liangshan District in Sichuan,this paper studies the impact of Pro-Poor tourism on the income of rural households in poor villages First of all,this paper combs the current research situation of Pro-Poor tourism and analyzes the benefit mechanism of peasant households participating in Pro-Poor tourism.Second,family in Poverty Village participate in the Pro-Poor tourism according to their family condition,in order to eliminate the observable heterogeneity problem which the self-chooses and other factors cause,this article analyze the poverty village peasant household income influence using propensity score matching method empirically.Finally,this paper analyze the impact of poor tourism on different household income from the perspective of the overall sample,household age,education level and family migrant populationThe research shows that tourism poverty alleviation has a significant positive impact on the income of rural households in poor villages,and participation in poverty alleviation can improve income of 43%~51% of peasant households,tourism can be regarded as the pillar industry of the impoverished village of Taliangtourism resources.Further research shows that the effect of tourism poverty alleviation on the income of ethnic minority households is higher than that of Han family.The effect on the income of the age-headed family is higher,the effect is higher on the income of households with higher education levels,and the effect is higher on families with no migrant workers.This paper proposes to coordinate and choose the model of tourism poverty alleviation according to local conditions,establish the income mechanism based on increasing the incomes of the poor,strengthen the education and training of the farmers,and promote the integration of tourism and other industrial development.
