The representative company of China hydraulic machinery industry, Sinohydro Jiajiang Hydraulic Machinery Company Limited is researched in the paper. To analyze competitive force of the products manufactured by the company, the paper states the related theories and documents of competitive force firstly, and then analyses the current situation and development trend of China hydraulic machinery industry. Guiding by these theories, i.e. competition advantage, technology innovation and value chain management, the paper tries to apply the related analysis ways of industry competition at home and abroad, on the analysis of Jiajiang Hydro’s competitive force. Through the research, Jiajiang hydro has to overcome the threats coming from home and abroad, in or out of the hydraulic machinery industry in the coming historical period of large-scale development of China hydropower construction, if it wants to become a large-scale and most powerful professional and international hydraulic machinery enterprise. The non-hydro machinery industry has taken the most market shares in the worldwide construction machinery industry. The representatives are the Caterpillar in the world and XCMG in the China. Considering the high centralization of non-hydro machine industry, it is very difficult if Jiajiang Hydro wants to become one of the biggest companies in the machinery industry by expanding non-hydro products and scale. In the meantime, the giants in non-hydro industry start to merge and recombine to expand including the products in hydraulic machinery industry.The paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter, the introductory theory summarizes the research background, meaning, content and methods.The second chapter introduces related theories and documents in machinery and hydraulic industry.The third chapter introduces competition situation in the China hydro machine industry in details.The fourth chapter analyses the product structure, technology, competition force, development advantage and disadvantage of Jiajiang Hydro.The fifth chapter suggests some countermeasures and advices for Jiajiang hydro’s development.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and some revelation of the paper.Basing on the development situation and trend of worldwide hydro machinery industry, to improve the industry competitive force of Jiajiang Hydro, to speed up the development of the company, the paper has brought out the basic thought of development:breach on system innovation, insist the market theory-big customer, basing on advanced technology and increasing core competitive force, and supporting by industry information strategy and human source innovation, to integrate the industry and form a hydro machinery group around Jiajiang.
