Research On International Competitiveness Of China’s Steel Industry

In2008the financial crisis changed virtual economy to substantial economy, which had a great effect on steel industry in China. In order to drive the market demand of steel products of our country, promote the industrial restructuring and upgrade of steel, improve steel enterprise competitiveness and drive development of relevant industries, the department concerned takes measures such as restructuring and rejuvenation program and so on to promote the development of steel industry. The development of steel industry plays an important role in the development of the whole nation economy. Thus, how to treat the current market demand in domestic and overseas, master the market demand variation trade of steel products, especially under the condition of structural imbalance market supply and demand, besides, how to improve the enterprise competitiveness of steel industry to win over global market share, analyze competitive strength of Chinese steel industry, find out the basic influencing factors limiting the promotion of industrial competitiveness and put forward solutions to relevant problems which are in an urgent need to solve.The thesis.based on the steel industrial competitiveness, carries on an overall research on international competitiveness, intension of industrial competitiveness and relevant theories. Then.based on the Michael Porters Diamond Model and Industrial Organization and combining the characteristics of steel industry, the thesis sets up a series of evaluation models and selects relevant data in2009of Japan, South Korea and the USA and so on to examine and analyze the influence of different factors on industrial competitiveness and carries out overall merit on international competitiveness of Chinese steel industry with AHP. The thesis provides a new method for evaluating the steel industry competitiveness. The thesis also provides the theoretical basis for policymaking in iron and steel industry and the enterprise development in this industry. Compared with other countries, the thesis will find out the current situation in steel industry competitiveness in China, analyze the factors of weak competitiveness of chinese steel industry, make a further analysis of the restraining factors that influence the competitiveness of the chinese steel industry and find out the basic causes that influence the competitiveness of the chinese steel industry. At last, to the relevant factors that influence the competitiveness of the steel industry in our country, the thesis gives strategies and advice on promoting the competitiveness of the chinese steel industry and they will guide the development of the chinese steel industry in the future.
