Pengzushan Scenic Area, with an elevation of610meters, known as Peng MengMountain in ancient times. It is a national scenic area, famous as a self-cultivation landof Dr. Peng in Shang Dynasty and his daughter, the birthplace of Chinese longevityWellness culture, has the name of longevity village since ancient times. The area withfresh air and pleasant climate, which is distributions along the east coast of the Fuheand Minjiang River, surrounded by mountains, meandering streams, tall bamboo andorchards. Pengzushan Scenic Area, with rare original ecology and natural simplicitystyle, long history and culture, moving folklore, healthy and Wellness environment anda variety of tourism value, is favored by more and more urban people. With the scenicarea should be upgraded to develop the tourism market, it is urgently needed thatstudying and exploring systematically the characteristics of tourism resources andproduct cultivation in Pengzushan Scenic Area.On the basis of analyzing the present study situation of wellness tourism both athome and abroad, this paper discusses the characteristics of tourism resources, thedevelopment of tourism products and wellness resource, the marketing of tourismproducts and then develops the thesis in the following aspects.Firstly, the paper analyzes its general situation and development conditions oftourism including location conditions, natural environment, historical background,society conditions of economic, medical and health.Secondly, the thesis classifies the resources into8main categories including20sub-categories and45fundamental types, the main types of tourism resources includesgeological landscape, Water scenery, biology landscape, tourist commodity Relics,architecture and humanity facilities. Among them the Pengzu wellness culture andeco-tourism wellness resources are the dominant tourism resources, and the types oftourism resources are varieties, coordinate composition, and then makes quantitative evaluation on the basis of categories, provides the basis for the tourism productsdevelopment.Thirdly, by the comparative analysis of other wellness tourism scenic area, SWOTanalysis and Prospect analysis of wellness tourism development in Pengzushan ScenicArea, the author summarizes the characteristics of Pengzu culture, longevity wellnessculture, Ecological environment, and historical background. It has provided theinfrastructure to build the high quality of Pengzu longevity wellness cultural themeresort to meet the different levels of tourism visitors’ consumption demands.Fourthly, on the base of the current situation of its tourism resources exploitation,it discusses the existing issues, development goals, strategies of products development,the theme and the overall layout of tourism development. And then proposes the systemof project products including leading products, important product and support product,proposes special tourism routes with prominent theme and distinctive characteristics.Fifthly, it studies the development and management of the wellness tourismproduct at Pengzushan scenic area, proposes some measures for the protection ofwellness tourism resources.Lastly, it studies the marketing strategies of wellness tourism products, Proposescorresponding marketing strategy and method to build the tourism brand, makemarketing strategies, and plan tourism festivals.
