Research On Regional Innovation Capability Evaluation Of China

With the more rapid development of globalization and more fiercecompetition, regional Innovation capability has become one of thedeterminative factors for enterprise, region, and nation’s development. Italso has become the key factor of regional economic growth and regionalindustrial development. Therefore, how to construct the evaluation indexsystem of regional innovation capability of China and evaluation of thestatus quo, have a very strong practical urgency and long-term guidingsignificance. This thesis is based on this purpose and direction to carryout research.First, this thesis makes a statement on related theory of regionalinnovation system and regional innovation capability and research statushome and abroad. Next, According to the constitutional elements ofregional innovation system, namely the university and research institution,enterprises, the government and intermediary, we can divide theevaluation system of regional innovation capability into ability ofknowledge creativity, ability of enterprise’s technological innovation,ability of innovation cooperation and transformation, innovativeenvironment and innovative economic performance, then use maximalirrelevance and discrimination analysis to choose and optimize the Juniorevaluation index system, so as to construct evaluation index system ofregional innovation capability of China. Furthermore, this thesis makes use of index data2010, uses SPSS16.0statistic software, then takes30provinces (except Tibet) altogether for five sub-integrated innovationcapability and comprehensive capability to do a quantitative comparisonand evaluation. Finally, regional innovation capability of China hasbeen evaluated by use of cluster analysis method, then usingcomprehensive integrated evaluation for combination of factor analysisand cluster analysis.Through above analysis, we get conclusion as follows:(1) Regionalinnovation capability of China has obviously regional features. Regionalinnovation capability is the strongest in the eastern region, followed bythe central region, the western region is the weakest, and the gap amongthe three regions is large. From the ranking of regional innovationcapability, except Hainan, the rest provinces of eastern region rankforward, and their comprehensive rankings are mostly in the forefront, inaddition to Sichuan, Shaanxi, the others of western region rank backward,and the rankings of central regional innovation capability are mostly atthe intermediate level.(2) Regional innovation capability is affected bymany factors, enhancing the capability is a systematic project, so variousprovinces should suit one’s measures to local conditions and overallconsideration to the influence of different factors, so as to promote thecoordinated development of regional innovation system.
