Zhangjiajie Ecological Touirsm Industry Development Strategy Research

Eco-tourism industry is a kind of high-end tourism industry that has characteristicsof sustainable development, it can not only realize the beneficial interactions betweenregional economy and tourism industry, but also hold the entire ecosystem balance. The20years’ experience of eco-tourism development in our country indicates thateco-tourism can play a significant role in promoting the less developed area’s economicdevelopment, and has become the sunrise industry that different area scrambling todevelopment. However, behind the “development hot” of eco-tourism industry inChina’s different areas, there are also many problems, such as the lack of understandingof the eco-tourism industry, ecological environmental damage in the developmentprocess, etc. Therefore, we should look at eco-tourism development dialectically.The paper is about eco-tourism industry of Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie.Through studying on development strategy of eco-tourism industry of Wulingyuandistrict, we further know about the development of eco-tourism industry inZhangjiajie even in some domestic representative. The paper mainly applies theories ofstrategic management and methods of SWOT analysis. Firstly, the author reviewsrelated literature and theoretical basis, in order to provide the theory and literaturesources. Secondly, it analyzes the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats ofeco-tourism industry of Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie, by using SWOT analysis,and finds out the restraining factors and favorable conditions. Thirdly, based on thesituation of eco-tourism industry development and SWOT analysis of environment inWulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie, the author proposes the strategic development ofeco-tourism industry of Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie, including strategicmentality, guidelines, strategic principles, strategic content, and the strategic content isthe most important. Finally, the paper puts forward some policy recommendations topromote the development of eco-tourism industry.
