It has aprofound impact on the retail, manufacturing, service and logistics industries in mostforms of economic activities. It has now become an important factor in boostingChina social processes and in enhancing economic development modetransformation and social transformation adjustment currently.Furniture industry e-commerce is at beginning while its good market potential anddevelopment trend caused wide public concern. Along with boom of e-commerce,furniture industry becomes one of the most potential outbreaks in this field.Comparing with the mature technological solutions of fund&information flow,furniture industry logistics is apparently a vital bottleneck for furniture logistics isnot only distribution of large commodities; it also involves the installation, after-saleservices, maintenance and upkeep following-up. The domestic logistics is lag-behindwhich makes furniture industry e-commerce could not meet the needs, thus itbecomes into the vital problem which needs to be solved with the highest attention.However, as the whole domestic furniture industry e-commerce is only marching inits infancy, there is little experience can be used as reference; added with the limitedresources invested by the society, the furniture industry seemed to be lost. Theproblem of logistics itself is an obstacle of cross area sales of furniture and when theera of e-commerce arrives, this problem becomes more prominent.Based on analysis about current situation of domestic and foreign e-commercedevelopment and problems existed, this thesis makes a comprehensive researchabout the developing trend of furniture industry e-commerce and the logisticsproblems home and abroad. In addition, this thesis, according to the case of theleading enterprises—X.M.B, also makes a thorough analysis and discussion on theavailable solutions for e-commerce logistics of furniture industry. Through therepresentative example of e-commerce logistics construction of furniture industry,together with the whole situation of furniture industry e-commerce at present, thisthesis proposed solutions for e-commerce logistics of furniture industry fromdifferent angles, and thus it could bring suggestions to different furniture enterpriseon how to develop e-commerce logistics. It also could bring macroscopic referenceson comprehensively promoting e-commerce logistics of furniture industry.
