A Study On The Urban Centricity Of Above Prefecture-level Cities In Western Region Since The Western Development

First of all, my thesis discusses the theoretical background of urban centricityresearch, analyses and compares various research methods in urban centricity，andthen I outline the status of above prefecture-level cities in western region，constructcentricity indicator system of above prefecture-level cities in western region based ontheoretical basis for introduction. The system includes three levels, reflects fiveaspects including totally ten indicators and sixteen specific data.I get above prefecture-level cities in western region indicator data of2000and2010through authoritative books, carry out a quantitative analysis on urban centricityof above prefecture-level cities in western region by Principal component analysis，and access integrated scoring of urban centricity and every business location.Through the results of the study of above prefecture-level cities in western region,we could analyze the characteristics and problems in the process of its owndevelopment. In response to these characteristics and problems， the followingcountermeasures are given. First，give priority to the development of the big andmoderate cities in four key areas including belt of economy of Gansu Lan-Xin,Chengdu and Chongqing economic belt of Upper Water of the Yangtze River,Nan-Gui-Kun economic region, call package–Lan-Qing–Bao-Lan railway economicbelt line. Second, promote urban cluster development and improve the urban space thedegree of polymerization and promote new urban space organization formation, tomake the urbanization from the traditional to a single city as the core of the point ofthe cluster model to t new urban space organization formation as the center of thecluster model of surface, to form more broad urbanization area. Third, cultivate anddevelop province (autonomous region) domain regional central cities. Promoteprovince (autonomous region) domain the formation of the regional central cities forlarge and medium cities developing step by step conditionally. Fourth, we shoulddevelop actively in small town; the key supports a batch of a wide place in the road.Finally, improve the west sustainable development of the central city.
