The real estate industry on macroeconomic importance is reflected in two aspects:for one thing, the national economic spread and contribution are involved, reflecting thereal estate industry in the national economy status; for another thing, the relatedindustries are driven and affected, reflecting the inner structure between real estateindustry and relevant industries. The scholars have done the important research on thetwo aspects, but real estate industry have obvious area characteristic, and the city as aspecific area of the national economy has its own unique. With the speed and scale ofreal estate industry development continues to accelerate, the driving effects research ofthe real estate industry on urban economic development has become an importantsubject. A comprehensive and thorough research of the degree of driving of the realestate industry on urban economic development is done in huhhot city, no matter thecoordinated development for real estate industry, urban economic and other industries,or the policy setting of the real estate industry development, has the great significance.Based on the research scope of the definition of the real estate industry, theconnotation of regional economic development, associated driving effects, and lateraldispersion effect, first of all the theory of real estate industry in the city’s economicdevelopment driving effect is built, which includes real estate industry driving economicgrowth, promoting the urbanization level, promoting industrial structure optimization,driving the development of relative industries through the interconnected characteristics,and lateral dispersion effect on city, through the five aspects to discuss the drivingeffects. Combining the analysis of the Hohhot economic development and the currentsituation of the development of real estate industry, city GDP and urbanization rate arerespectively selected to construct the real estate industry and urban economicdevelopment model, so as to analyse real estate industry driving economic growth andpromoting the urbanization level; Using three industry output structure, the drivinginfluence on structure optimization of the real estate industry is analyzed; Based on theinput-output table of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in2002and2007, the useof input and output analysis method, this paper analyzes that real estate industry havepull before and after to pushing effects on related industries in the Inner Mongoliaautonomous region. From the whole to the part, quantitative analysis of total drivingeffects on the real estate industry to related industries of huhhot; through the real estateindustry to promote the employment, upgrade urban value and improve urbanenvironment, etc, this paper analyzes qualitatively the real estate industry of the drivingeffects of lateral dispersion. Finally, some suggestions are thrown out on the healthy andsustainable development of the real estate industry of Hohhot.The main conclusions of the article are as follows:(1) The investment of Hohhot in real estate development, each additional RMB100million, can drive GDP to increase by625.9million yuan.(2) The explanation for Hohhot investment in real estate development (X)and theurbanization level (Y)is a power model equation that is Y=41.805(X0.024).(3) According to the table of three times industry-output structure in Hohhot in2000-2009, a conclusion is drew that the added value of the first industry of GDP trendto decline, second and third industry is a rising trend, overall very slowly and repeatedly.The added value of real estate industry in the proportion of added value of the thirdindustry is2.91%-12.02%, an average of6.46%, and in a fluctuant development trend; The pull of growth of real estate industry to the third industry growth (except the2003outer) is in0.07-9.38percentage point.(4) In2002and2007,the real estate industry of Hohhot, each additional a unit ofoutput value, can drive to increase by3.5867and0.7107unit output value in allindustry.In2002,the driving effect that the real estate industry to Construction is thelargest, with driving coefficient0.5722, followed by Fabricated metal products industrywith driving coefficient0.4340;In2007,the largest driving effect changes into theFabricated metal products industry, with driving coefficient0.2343,followed byConstruction industry with driving coefficient0.0504.
