Study On Evaluation System Of Manufacturing Enterprise’s Logistics Capability In Supply Chain

Globalization, informatization, diversification, agility were new characteristics ofmodern economic environment. Manufacturing enterprises had to reduce cost, improvequality, optimize service and meet diverse needs in order to survive and develop. Insuch conditions, it had become increasingly difficult for enterprises to obtain sustainablecompetitive advantage only depending on manufacturing capability. Some companieswere beginning to divert their attentions to logistics field and to keep it as “the thirdprofit source” and the new method to gain competitive advantage.Systematic study on manufacturing enterprise’s logistics capability can help toanalyze key factors of logistics capability that restrict enterprises development, topropose pointed solutions, and to improve economic benefit. It was very significant fortheory and application to research on logistics capability evaluation system ofmanufacturing enterprises in supply chain based on above reasons.The Dissertation analyzed the domestic and abroad research on logistics capability,established logistics capability evaluation system of manufacturing enterprises, andexpounded its basic elements. Evaluation index system was constructed from sixcapabilities: cost control, quality control, time management, flexible operation, logisticsintegration and innovation based on the principles of building index system. Indices’weights were calculated by combination weighting method. Multi-level comprehensiveevaluation model based on extension theory was established. Finally, the logisticscapability of L Company was evaluated with the index system and evaluation modelthat built above. The evaluation result is good. In the meantime some existing problems,such as the poor capability of logistics flexible operation were pointed out,correspondingly countermeasures such as enhancing information sharing, increasing theaccurateness of unscheduled delivery were put forward as well.
