The Research On The Factors Of Energy Consumption Of Three-star And High-star Hotels

Along with the development of tourism, tourism and resources are more and moreclosed，which is threatening the sustainability of tourism. As one of the mostimportant elements in tourism industry, hotel costs vast amounts of energyconsumption when operating. The rate of the energy consumption in community isincreasing gradually. Hotel’s energy consumption in commercial buildings is at topfive, especially luxury hotel, which is closed and entirely control by equipment toachieve comprehensive standards on air quality. High-star hotel has a huge impact onthe environment. Although energy control has aroused the concern of the Government,which has set energy-saving emission reduction strategies in hotel management, theoverall results are bad. Second, hotel firms begin to pay attetntion to the control ofenergy consumption, with the increasing energy cost. In addition, consumerawareness of environment protection and the promotion of energy technologies alsoprovide objective criteria for energy management.Under the background of hotel’s influence on environment, this paper studied onthe influence factors of energy consumption in hotel. There are three main parts:（1）Based on the theory of building energy consumption, Characteristics ofhigh-rise building, theory of energy-saving equipment, as well as hotel management,combined with expert interviews and questionnaires，the paper discussed the factorsthat affecting energy consumption of high-star hotel.（2）The paper analyzed the energy consumption patterns of high-star hotels inFujian province as an example through the ways of expert interview andquestionnaire. This paper argued that the energy consumption patterns of high-starhotels are influenced by the proportion of window area, the capacity of central aircondition and energy-saving technologies, indoor environmental standard, totalbuilding areas, occupancy rate, the number and the type of facilities, energy-savingbehavior of employees, the number of cooking food, temperature, light design,consumer’s habits in travel, energy-saving policy.（3）the paper proposes that for government,we should help small and medium enterprises through financing policy, hold energy saving equipment exhibition, makeuse of hotel association. For company, we should change the way we original use andapply new energy, equip with proper central air condition, complete energymeasurement system and use energy-related performance measurement, improve thestatus of Engineering Department. For specific department of hotel, we should payattention to catering management, keep the hall design subjected to theme, payattention to outside shade, use occupied system in guest room, replace energy savinglamps as required. For costomers, we should promote healthy living lifestyle,orientate our customers towards saving energy.In this research, due to the writer’s own factor, the finity of relevant documents,there must be some defects and deficiencies in the process and the conclusion of thethesis, which need to be improved later.
