China has been trying to develop clean energy these years and the hydropower industryhas been developing quickly. So far more than4,5000hydropower stations have been built inChina. The top priority of the production of hydropower enterprise is to ensure productionsafety. Any possible security risk must be eliminated. To achieve this goal, all the materialsthat the production activity needs must be delivered with high quality on time. Consequently,the selection of material supplier is crucial to ensure the production security of hydropowerenterprise and the study of material supplier selection is of great significance to hydropowerenterprise.This thesis first gave an introduction to the research background and objective,reviewed the foreign and domestic related research, and stated the research steps. Then thethesis created a material supplier selection criterion system for hydropower enterprise basedon the analysis of material classification. Next, the Fuzzy Topsis Method,a method used forinitial supplier selection, was discussed. Based on the investigation into the procurementactivity of a large hydropower enterprise, we chose a key material,which is of importance toproduction and costs relatively more, as an example to show numerical analysis. By usingFuzzy Topsis method, we selected three suppliers out of six. Then a multiple objective linearprogramming(MOLP) model was formulated, which includes four objective functionsregarding quality, emergency handling, cost and delay. And the model was converted to asingle objective linear programming model. This model can adjust to different weightscombination. By using the model and practical data, we made allocation to the threesuppliers. At last we summarized the research and gave directions for future research.
