Research On Fuzzy Selection Of Supplier For Green Supply Chain

With the development of science and technology in recent years,customer requirement changes quicker than before.In order to maintain competitive advantage companies devote to improving the quality of products,cutting down delivery period,reducing costs of production and operation and enhancing customer's satisfaction.Some companies begin to focus on supply chain management and link suppliers,manufacturers and distributors into supply chain to realize maximum profits.Suppliers as the initial section play the most important role in the whole chain.The selection of appropriate supplier is the premise and fundatation of supply chain management.In the course of traditional supplier selection,most of companies only focus on quality,price,delivery time etc.With the pressure of environmental pollution,resource depletion and public expectation,more and more companies become interested in green supplier management and consider green factors such as resource conservation and environmentally friendly factors.The choice of green supplier can reduce costs,decrease consumption,improve environment and enhance the market power of company.This paper mainly contains three parts.Firstly,we studied related literatures about green supply chain,green supply chian management,supplier evaluation and selection.We discussed the similarity and difference of evaluation indicators in home and abroad and then made a summary of supplier evaluation models and methods.Secondly,we introduced the current situation of supplier evaluation and selection and built supplier evaluation index framework in the context of green supply chain environment.Finally,we introduced the fuzzy evaluation methods,namely,fuzzy TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal),TISM(Total Interpretative Structural Modeling)and FANP(Fuzzy Analytic Network Process)methods,referring Q company as example to illustrate the effectiveness of the study methods.The contributions of this paper are listed as follows:Firstly,based on plenty of literature about green supply chain and green supply chain management and we established supplier evaluation index system in consideration of corporate social responsibility and the characteristics of food industry.Secondly,this paper combined both methods of TISM and FANP to build up supplier selection model.This integrated model helps to select the most appropriate supplier and it can provide guidance for company under green supply chain senario.Thirdly,we compared the results of two methods and analyzed the possible reason for the difference between these two methods.
