Inventory Control Technology Application Research In Information Sharing Supply Chain

Inventory control is the main content of SCM (Supply chain management),information sharing is the typical feature of modern SCM, how to make full use ofinformation sharing to control inventory, how to reach a higher customer service levelby a lower inventory cost, is the research direction of modern inventory controltechnology.Base on the best practice of D company, this paper introduced an informationsharing supply chain based dynamic inventory control technology, DSI-STBL method,DSI(daily sales inventory) rules each joint point supplier prepare inventory accordingupstream company’s MRP, STBL(shortage to backlog) is the key measurement ofsupply chain performance. To solve the problem that DSI-STBL method has no strongdecision support factors for strategic DSI level, based on mass investigation andanalysis, we invented a DSI-STBL decision support model, the model canquantitatively simulate STBL days performance at different strategic DSI level, aswell as the influence impacted by kinds of plan behavior, solve the decision supportproblem of strategic DSI level. The model was proved successful by a real case, canbe easily extended and applied to other company and industry; it improved DSI-STBLmethodology and can be promoted in real production management practice.
