Since Motowidlo&Scotter(1993) formally proposed the dual structure model of performances, employee performances is divided into two major areas, there are task performances and contextual performances. Later, the contextual performances attracted studies’attention, especially the influencing factors and how to effectively improve employees’contextual performances has been a focus of international academic research. Work values are a series of measure variables for employee to judge a work, it has a direct impact on employees’ behavior and the work performances, and it also has a very intuitive relationship with work values.Scholars have made a few studies of the relationship between work values and contextual performances, but there are a lot of limitations. So, on the basis of existing research, this thesis wants to explore relationships between each dimension of work values and two types of contextual performances, and to verify the moderating effect of perceived organizational support on the relationship between work values and contextual performances.Through the comprehensive analysis of past research paper, this thesis constructs a model about the influencing relationship among work values, POS and contextual performances. By the research of questionnaire for394employees located in4districts in China, the thesis explores the influencing relationships among the three variables; there are significant correlations among employees’ work values, POS and contextual performances through correlation analysis; Work values has a significant positive correlation with two types of employees performance, especially personal growth orientation, organizational security&economic orientation and social interaction orientation; perceived4organizational support play a significant role in the moderation between work values and the contextual performance, mainly moderate the effect upon contextual performance from personal growth orientation and organizational security&economic orientation.Finally, on the basis of the conclusions in the empirical research, the thesis makes some discussions and suggestions, in order to inspire enterprises to effectively enhance employees’contextual performances, and to achieve the objectives of the organization.
