The uncertainty of the external environment and the increasing openness of the market have made the competition among enterprises more and more fierce.If enterprises want to make ascending improvement in performance,relying on employees carrying out their own duties is not enough.It has been turned out that apart from the work assigned to the employees,other deeds done by employees,like helping colleagues,following organizational rules,supporting and maintaining organizational goals,etc.will be of great benefit to the development of enterprises.At the same time,the awakening self-consciousness of employees in the age of values,emphasizes the importance of personal values.It is necessary for enterprises to satisfy the need of employees’ self-worth,to cultivate employees’ sense of “ownership” of the enterprise,to build a community of shared future for enterprises,as a result,employees will actively create extra value for enterprises.Therefore,research on the impact of employee’s raises values on employee contextual performance is in line with the trend of the times,and it can also provide some theoretical advice for the company to cultivate and motivate employees in the future.Studies have confirmed that individual values such as work values,professional values,and leadership values have a positive impact on employee contextual performance,but most of these studies analyze the impact of values on employee contextual performance,which are based on theoretical perspectives,such as personnal-organizational fit theory and social exchange theory.It does not deeply explore the mechanism of values on contextual performance from the perspective of self-cognition theory.Moreover,the employee’s raises values is an important part ofthe employee values system.No scholars have studied the predictive effect of employee’s raises values on contextual performance.Therefore,this paper explores the mechanism of employee’s raises values on contextual performance,based on self-cognition theory,social identity theory and planning behavior theory,using employee’s raises values as an antecedent variables,perceived insider status as mediator,and political skills.as a moderator variable,a regulated mediation model was constructed to deeply explore the mechanism of employee’s raises values on contextual performance.In this paper,400 employees from 17 companies in 6 cities,including Shenzhen,Shanghai,Hangzhou,Beijing,Xian,and Lanzhou,were selected as research objects.Data were collected by questionnaire survy and 277 valid questionnaires were finally obtained.The final empirical research results show that employee’s raises values has a significant effect on contextual performance,perceived insider status functions as a partial mediator between employee’s raises values and contextual performance,and political skill moderate the relationship between perceived insider status and contextual performance.Therefore,the adjusted mediation effect model in this study explains the effect of employee’s raises values on contextual performance.When the organization raises the salary,the employees perceive the organization’s fairness in salary increasing,which will generate a strong sense of organizational identity,and define themselves as “insider people”.Then,they will do something beyond their duties,improve contextual performance,and effectively promote work performance.At the same time,political skills as an important interpersonal ability to achieve personal development and create a harmonious organizational atmosphere within the organization,playing a regulatory role in the relationship between perceived insider status and contextual performance.That is,when the employees’ political skills are high,the high perceived insider status from the high level of employee’s raises values through the organization’s salary increasing will have a stronger positive impact on the contextual performance.Therefore,it is necessary for the organization to effectively improve employees’ political skills,strengthen their interpersonal skills and create a harmonious organizational atmosphere by formulating special training plans.
