Nowadays China is in a deepening socio-economic transformation period, the social attitudes and forms of production organization has undergone tremendous changes, but some aspects of the field of labor relations have not kept up the reform process, which lead directly to the focus on the emergence of labor relations problems in the current period. As an important aspect of labor relations, the level of quality of labor relations in enterprises and its harmony not only directly affect the interests of enterprises and workers’personal goals, but also the relations with the country’s economic development and social stability. Macro-level labor relations resolve and coordinate the relationship between employers and employees from the perspective of government, trade unions and the business side of the tripartite coordination mechanism, while micro-level labor relations focus on the perspective of the internal human resource management to resolve labor relations issues.This essay starts from the micro perspective of labor relations, combines the related theory of labor relations and corporate labor relations practice, through literature review, questionnaire surveys and statistical analysis method to construct the evaluation index system of labor relations in enterprises. Using grey clustering assessment of the gray system theory, we establish the multi-level gray evaluation model of labor relations in enterprises, and use the model to quantify the score on the actual situation of the labor relations of the sample enterprises. This article intends to quantify the evaluation of the status of the manufacturing sector labor relations in enterprises of different ownership, understanding the problems of labor relations, in order to propose targeted remedial measures and recommendations.The dissertation has three innovations as follows:First, we draw on the Two-factor theory, the labor relations in enterprises is divided into two aspects as transactional labor relations and developmental labor relations, and respective responsibilities for the main factors affecting labor relations in enterprises in these two areas. Based on that, we build the research framework of the evaluation index system of the labor relations in enterprises.Second, we do empirical study of labor relations evaluation with the integrated use of multivariate statistical analysis and assessment of gray clustering method. Choosing manufacturing enterprises in Jiangsu Province as the research sample, we do evaluation research of labor relations comprehensively and systematically. Based on the multivariate statistical analysis of the survey data, the evaluation index system of labor relations in enterprises can be built more reasonable and accurate. Innovative use of gray clustering assessment methods to evaluate the labor relations can show the advantage of gray system theory to solve the small sample size and the uncertain problems; the conclusion can be more scientific and reasonable.Third, according to the labor relations theory and quantitative research results, we build the labor relations adjustment mode based on corporate human resources. This adjustment mode is to make these management recommendations to improve labor relations in enterprises from two aspects of transactional labor relations and developmental labor relations.
