Research On Satellite Urban Land Use Comprehensive Zoning

Land is the substantial carrier for human survival and social economical continuingdevelopment. The limitation of land quantity and increase of land demand consists a specialconflict in continuing use of land resources, that is: the conflict between mankind and land.The rapid and continuous increase of national economy speed up the process of urbanization.The city unceasingly spread outwards and newly increasing building sites, all of these makethe relationship between mankind and land very tense. Making programs in exploitingnational lands, developing works in land zoning, and making relevant controlling rules andregulating directions, they are important measures to strengthen regulating national lands andsolve problems between mankind and land. In order to alleviate the expansion pressure of bigcities, satellite towns appears. Double conflicts of land supplying and demanding both fromitself and mother city have to be solved. Satellite town is affected by the radiation of centralcity. In the process of development, its administrative region easily emerges unequal partial orexcessive increase in scale, such as in land use zoning, one administrative region has two ormore developing zones in priority. So that in the analysis of regular land use zoning, theexternal radiation influence is easily neglected just because of the characteristics of satellitetowns.The thesis searches methods and modes for land use zoning that are suitable for satellitetowns. The thesis puts focus on Luquan city, analyses its land use zoning, arranges areasonable and operating land zones, and points out relevant controlling directions to landresources. The main contents and arguments are as follows:First, the thesis reviews the history of development, layout of satellite towns in Chinaand other countries, concludes valuable new ideas and experiences.Second, based on the country-level land use comprehensive zoning, the thesis introducesthe “egg-type pattern” which based on the breaking point formula to quantify the impact ofthe central city to satellite cities and explore the pattern of land use zoning in the satellite cityaround the cities, and gaves details of the partition method. This study is an exploratorypractice of land zoning.Third, the thesis sets Luquan city as an example, analyzing the land use zoning methods in satellite citis under the influence of central city, through the overlaying of functional zoningand landform zoning, Luquan city is divided into7zones, they are: central developing zone,key developing zone surrounding Shijiazhuang city, new building material industrial zone,agricultural ecological visiting zone, fundamental agricultural manufacturing zone, forestvegetation protection zone, and ecological tourism protection zone. Finally, the thesisanalyses the land using and regulating direction of every zone from central geographicaltheory.
