The Comparative Study On Forestry Competitiveness Of Nine Cities In Fujian Province

In the June of2003,our country put forward "CPC Central Committee and State Council on the decision to speed up the development of forestry", made a significant adjustment in our country forestry development, in hope to achieve the sustainable development of forestry. Fujian Province is an important collective forest areas in South China, and forestry is one of special mainstay industry in Fujian Province. Forestry development affects Fujian Socio-economic development, forestry competitive level is the direct embodiment of forestry development. So, the study of the Fujian forestry competitiveness has important theoretical and practical significance.The writer collects and analyzes lots of journals and literature, systematic elaborate domestic and international research of forestry competitiveness. On this basis, the paper define the meaning of the forestry competitiveness and its main content, in order to define the study object for the further research. And then, the paper analyzes the present situation and the main problem in Fujian forestry development, points out five factors of affecting Fujian forestry competitiveness, they are forestry resources factors, forestry ecological factors, forestry industry development factors, forestry infrastructure factors and forestry development supporting factors, and further analyzes the main elements of the five factors, these main elements are25third grade indexes of the study.Trough analyzing the five factors of affecting Fujian forestry competitiveness and the main elements, the paper emphatically analyzes the way of constructing the indexes system to evaluate Fujian forestry competitiveness. By AHP the five factors are summarized into the five second-grade indexes:forestry resources competitiveness, forestry ecological competitiveness, forestry industry development competitiveness, forestry infrastructure competitiveness and forestry development supporting competitiveness, and the paper establishes25third-grade indexes below them. Combining with the indexes system of forestry competitiveness, the paper proposes the evaluating method and the evaluating model of Fujian each city forestry competitiveness, and uses standardized methods to process the authoritative data from the year2006to2008.Finally the paper through factor analysis method to determine each grade indexes’ weights, and then puts forward the evaluating method of nine cities forestry competitiveness in Fujian and the assessment method of each index developing trends.After defining the model and method of Fujian nine cities forestry competitiveness, the writer collects and analyzes the result by the SPSS software, obtain the scores and rank of nine cities in Fujian Province, as well as five second-grade indexes and25third-grade indexes. On these basic, in the evaluating period from the year2006to2008, the rank of nine cities forestry competitiveness in Fujian Province are stable, rank orders are Sanming city, Nanping city, Longyan city, Zhangzhou city, Ningdeng city, Fuzhou city, Quanzhou city, Putian city, Xiamen city. According to the rank orders, the paper carries on the interval comparative analysis, finds out the advantages and disadvantages of each city forestry competitiveness in Fujian Province, and summed up the law of forestry competitiveness development in nine cities of Fujian Province, it thinks the deference of forestry competitiveness among Fujian nine cities are related to differences in forestry resources, only the balanced development in various indexes could get a strong competitive of forestry, moreover, if forestry competitiveness formed, it would be unchanged in a short time, the key of forestry competitiveness will be sustainable development.Finally the paper takes the Sanming city for example, which forestry competitiveness remains the first place during the evaluating period from the year2006to2008,it analyzes the Sanming city forestry competitiveness and the second-grade, third-grade indexes, finds out except the index of "forest fire areas" is disadvantaged index, another are advantaged indexes among5second-grade and25third-grade indexes, so this index must be valued in the process of Sanming forestry development. And then the paper proposes some advice to make Sanming City forestry for the further improvement and development. At the same time, the paper through analyzing the Sanming city forestry competitiveness, in order to provide reference for other cities in Fujian Province and enhance other cities forestry competitiveness, achieving the overall development of forestry in Fujian Province.
