Many countries have gone through a stage from technology import to independent innovation, besides China, which is experiencing an interim from abroad to import the new technologies, investment to develop new technologies with independent intellectual property. While Japan is recognized as the fastest growing country in the21st century, a miracle in the history of development, for it has spent20to30years leading the capitalist road rather than those who have spent more than200years. But one of the most important reasons about this miracle is that Japan has successfully achieved the transition from technology introduction to innovation. Well, how many stages have Japan experienced on successfully achieved technology introduction to innovation? What characteristics of the various stages is it? In what kind of social conditions can it successfully achieve the transition? What can we learn for China to persist in independent innovation judging from Japan’s successful experience? The aim of this thesis is to reflect how to answer these questions.Based on the relevant results about the development miracles reported by home and abroad after War in Japan, applied Comprehensive literature analysis and conceptual analysis, First of all, From the STS interdisciplinary perspective, we analysis the dimension from the last state of the Japanese post-war technology introduction to innovation stage of the evolution of features, and make it into two stages, both front and back, each of which again is divided into two small stages.Both major stages are:The stage of technology introduction and technology innovation around post-war in Japan. The former is classified as "post-war economic recovery of Japan-Japan’s post-war technological transformation and rapid economic development-Technical imitation of transformation; the latter is divided into post-war economic miracle of Japan-Japan’s second innovation of the post-war economic stability and growth phase-independent innovation. This Paper individually shows specific characteristics of each stage from the technical characteristics and social conditions. Secondly, based on the counterproductive theory standpoint that social conditions impressed science and technology, analyzed from a total of tense economic miracle of Japan’s necessary social conditions, it is to say that economic conditions is fundamental conditions, political conditions is the dominant conditions, the education conditions is the main conditions, and cultural conditions is the integrated conditions. Finally, the paper also illustrates the role of special significance about the technology introduction of post-war in Japan to the evolution of independent innovation, summed up the experience of Japan and its disadvantages, to suggest some of China’s independent innovation at this stage to achieve useful suggestions.Based on the above discussions, this paper has presented the period from the technology introduction to independent innovation in Japanese post-war, which is the main transition reason to achieve such social factors such as economic conditions, politics conditions, educational conditions, and culture conditions. Therefore, the technology introduction and independent innovation must be accordance with the social conditions of countries and regions. Technology introduction and independent innovation must be accordance with the times of evolution social conditions. Technology introduction and independent innovation model can’t be ignored suspension of social conditions.Accelerating social change and developing a good social environment conditions are full of great practical significances on advocating taking the road of independent innovation of China, which also helps to enrich the STS study.
