To conclude the follow results:Firstly, the multifunctional and outer protection of cultivated land determines the social benefit and ecological benefit, it takes an important part to ensure the security of food production. In Jiangxi Province.the area unutilized land fit for cultivating are31924.18hectare。It has huge latent capacity to replenish the new cultivated land by developing the unutilized land and improving the mid-low yield lands.Secondly, resource endowment determine the potential productivity of grain, carrying out the appropriate regional food production to achieve the sustainable development.By using spatial analysis capabilities of GIS, combined with the cluster analysis model, Jiangxi Province is divided into six regions:the northwestern agricultural area, agricultural area of Poyang Lake Plain. northeastern Jiangxi agricultural areas, central Jiangxi agricultural areas, Gannan basins agricultural areas. Gannan mountain agricultural areas. The research provides different measures of regional agricultural development.Thirdly, according to analysis the theoretical potential grain productivity, the high theoretical potential grain productivity index area are in the northwestern agricultural area and central Jiangxi agricultural areas, the low theoretical potential grain productivity index area are distribute Gannan mountain agricultural areas, northeastern Jiangxi agricultural areas and agricultural area of Poyang Lake Plain. Summary of the rice and sweet potato production in the theoretical potential productivity, the theoretical potential productivity is99.522.200tons in Jiangxi.Calculating the reality of food production potential of Jiangxi Province in the same natural condiontion region, the annual average yield will come to7704kg/ha, the highest average yield will come to15240kg/ha. The grain production can achieve543billion jin based on the sown area unchanged.Lastly, based on the current situation of agriculture and grain production, we provide suggestion from cultivated field, technology, human resources, agricultural inputs to achieve sustainable development.
