The Exploration Of The Development Trend Of People’s Livelihood Science And Technology Under The Inclusive Growth

“Inclusive growth” reflects a new concept of development. Compared to the previousconcept, it emphasizes more fair so that all sectors of society can enjoy the results ofdevelopment, eventually realize shared growth. To a country, inclusive growth means eliminatinggaps and fissures between social groups and social strata, as well as letting all the individualsintegrate into the trend of economic development, have equal development opportunities andshare the fruits of development; to the international community, developed countries, developingcountries and non-developed countries should respect and inclusive each other, sharing the fruitsof economic development. It specifically includes the inclusion to economic growth, people’slivelihood, education, nature, social harmony and more other aspects, with the purpose ofconstructing a more coordinated, more harmonious coexistence growth pattern.The people’s livelihood technology refers to a technology which is related to people’s life.It is based on the solution of basic social problem such as “employment, healthcare, education,housing and security”, and belongs to the non-profit public science and technology. It has manycharacteristics like practicability, universality, development and application. Also it’s the mostimportant measures and means to solve people’s livelihood problems. In order to enhancecomprehensive national power, many country usually only pay attention to the research anddevelopment of high-tech. Most country have invested a lot of manpower and material resourcesin the area of arms race, manned spaceflight technology and national defense science andtechnology, but neglected the development of science and technology which is closely geared topeople’s livelihood. Inclusive growth, which gives more attention to people’s livelihood,emphasizes the coordinated growth of all aspects. Therefore the development of people’slivelihood science and technology is very important under the inclusive growth. This paper firstintroduces the connotation and characteristics of inclusive growth and people’s livelihoodScience and technology, the relationship between them, and then discusses the developmenttrend of people’s livelihood science and technology under the background of inclusive growthfrom three aspects: the priority areas, the new characteristics, the strategy demand of people’slivelihood science and technology under the inclusive growth.
