In the1980s, Qingzhou flower industry began to develop. In the past30years, it hasgradually become a more vital growth factor in agriculture and rural economy. Since the firstflower fair in2001, the government has enhanced the support and guidance of flower industry.The flower industry has formed complete industrial system of manufacture, scientific research,marketing, circulating and service. At the same time, it has formed the industrial chain offertilizer, pergola, flowerpot, seeds and matrix. The biggest flower trading center is built inQingzhou, covering200,000square meters. It also owns more than2000professionaltransportation vehicles and the marketing network has further expanded all over the country.The flower industry in Qingzhou has become larger and larger since the success of the7thChina Flower Expo. in2009, which drives the switching from traditional agriculture tomodern agriculture.Through the research into the development of Qingzhou flower industry in ShandongProvince, this thesis is based on the relevant theory of agricultural industrialization andmodern agriculture. The author analyzed the present situation, major problems as well asrestricting factors of local flower industry and came up with the solutions to the problems offlower industry. To promote its development, perfect future plans of flower industrydevelopment need to be made. What’s more, the author put forward the future plans andguarantee measures for flower growth, process, trade, logistics, tourism, exhibition and so on.This paper can provide reference value for local government to develop Qingzhou flowerindustry, improve the efficiency of agriculture, increase the farmers’ income and fasten theprogress of city and countryside integration.
