To accelerate social development and China’s fixed asset investment continued to grow,more and more projects to the morphology of the project group and the progress of theoriginal single project management theory and technology in this context increasinglyapparent lack of urgent need to establish control management model for the progress of theproject group. In this paper, the group schedule control mode and measures to build a projectsuitable for the the Guangdong Huajian current status quo and seek to improve the company’soperating performance and core competitiveness, and strive to make a useful exploration tohelp the rich engineering project group schedule management theory.In this paper, the author where Guangdong Project as the research object, solve a groupenvironment faced by the company’s project construction schedule control problems for thesystematic exploration of how to apply the key chain technology. First, the definition of theproject group, classification, schedule control, the core part of the theory of constraint theoryand key chain theory. Second, analysis of production and operation mode, GuangdongHuajian management features and progress control conflict. Again, by building the projectgroup coordinated planning system, in order to enrich and perfect the three-tier organizationalstructure of the Program Management, detailed design of the project group schedule planningprocess. Finally, the author pulled out of two representative projects from the constructioncompany under the jurisdiction of the Nansha oil depot two projects, for example, set up aproject group environment composed by the two projects, and application of theabove-mentioned research results to the the simulation project group environment, empiricalanalysis, in order to achieve the project performance targets. Research method: First, thetheoretical analysis from theoretical analysis definition of Program Management, constrainedthe theoretical basis of the theory and key chain; questionnaires and depth interviews, designquestionnaires, and access to some of the construction industry companies internal companyand project management staff to explore the factors that affect the progress of where. Third,the combination of qualitative analysis and quantitative research, thesis research process, themain mode is the problem of qualitative analysis, to explore the nature of the problem, andthen by the quantitative method for confirmation.Critical chain theory in the field of project group is still a relatively new managementtheory, applied research done in this paper is only the combination of the building where thecompany’s corporate management status and project management features, from thecircumstances of this particular field of petrochemical engineering verify its practical feasibility, to achieve some progress control effect, to enhance the performance capabilities ofthe company works, and therefore has a certain practicality and the reference value.
