As the most important manifestation of economic globalization, regionaleconomic integration is booming. The most successful example of regionaleconomic integration are the European Union(EU) and North American Free TradeArea(NAFTA), also they attracted the attention of other countries. China, Japan andSouth Korea are the most important economies in the East Asia region. With theeconomic development of the three countries, the volume of trade between the threecountries is increasing, and the economic and trade relationship has beenincreasingly closer. The basis for the establishment of free trade area among thethree is increasingly mature. After many years studies on the feasibility and necessityof Free Trade Area, in2013the first formal negotiation will come true. This paperanalyses the development and problems between the three in the perspective ofbilateral trade relations, and on this basis it analyses the economic effects of theestablishment of China, Japan and South Korea Free Trade Area, then concludeswith policy recommendations to promote the trade area.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first and second chapter introducesthe literature review and theoretical foundation of free trade area. The third chapterdescribes the background and current status of the construction of free trade area,and the fourth analyses the scale of bilateral trade and the commodity structurebetween China and Japan, China and South Korea, as well as the issues they face.The fifth analyses the trade relations among the three countries and the effects whenthe area is built. Finally, in the sixth chapter, it puts forward policy recommendations to promote the Free Trade Area of China, Japan and South Korea.
