Large enterprises are the backbone of the national economy, but the largenumber of small and medium-sized enterprises is also the important part of thenational economy, SEMs play an irreplaceable role in employment and technologyinnovation. Since the scholars study entrepreneurship theory, there has not been aunified answer about what factors lead some enterprises differ from otherenterprises.According to the above problems, scholars begin to realize thecontribution of entrepreneurial orientation and organizational learning to promotefirm growth and the important value to promote the firm growth ability. Proven theinner mechanism of the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firmgrowth of small and medium-sized enterprises and seek effective ways to promote theorganizational learning is one of the hotspots and difficulties at present. Scholars whostudy the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance focus on theeffect of entrepreneurial orientation on the overall performance. There are a fewstudies on the effect mechanism of entrepreneurial orientation on firm growth. At thesame time, in recent years, the scholars pay more and more attention to the study oforganizational learning. On the growth of SMEs, on the one hand, the governmentrefers to the mature experience of developed country and trys to provide acomfortable environment for small and medium-sized enterprises, on the other hand,entrepreneurs also actively explore the road of the sustainable development of smalland medium-sized enterprises in our country. Based on the above, this researchfocuses on the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on firm growth and add the organizational learning as the intermediary variable into to the relationship betweenentrepreneurial orientation and firm growth. Based on this purpose, this study consiststhe following sections:First, review and comb the related theory of literature and research onentrepreneurial orientation, organizational learning and firm growth. In the theorypart of the entrepreneurial orientation, this part elaborates the development course ofthe relevant theories of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial orientation, determinesthe connotation and definition of entrepreneurial orientation. In the theory partorganizational learning, it elaborates the development of the theory of organizationallearning. In the theory part of the firm growth, it determines the definition andmeasure of firm growth.Second, analyze the relationship among entrepreneurial orientation, andorganizational learning and firm growth, determine the variable dimensions of them.Analyze the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and its sub-dimensionswith firm growth respectively; analyze the relationship between entrepreneurialorientation and its sub-dimensions with organizational learning; analyze therelationship between organizational learning and its sub-dimensions with firmgrowth. In addition, discuss the intermediary role of organizational learning in therelationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm growth. Then form theframework of this paper.Third, perform the empricial study. The questionnaires of this study are collectedthrough site distribution and collection, the object of the questionnaire is thehigh-level leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and MBA/EMBAstudents in Jilin University. This paper distributes272copies of questionnaires andrecycles229copies, the recovery rate is84%, recycles202valid copies, the effectiverate is88%. Analysis results are as follows: entrepreneurial orientation and theinnovative dimension and risk-taking dimension have a positive effect on firm growth,the positive effect of proactiveness on firm growth has not been verified.Entrepreneurial orientation and its sub-dimensions have a positive effect on organizational learning. Organizational learning and its sub-dimensions have apositive influence on firm growth. Organizational learning plays an intermediary rolein the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm growth.Finally, summarize the results of this study and illustrate the significance of thisresearch, point out the shortcomings of this study as well as the outlook for the futureresearch.
