Analysis And Response Of The Urbanism Issues Of The Rural Migrant Workers

Since the reform and opening up, with the loosening of the relationship between urban and rural areas as well as the continuous progress of China’s urbanization, a large number of migrant workers went from the countryside to the towns, forming the large-scale phenomenon of "flood of migrant workers". These people had made tremendous contribution in the development of the urban economy while causing a severe test for the sustainable development of China’s urbanization and economic. Simultaneously, the situation of migrant workers in the marginalization of the city is inconsistent with the governance concepts such as "harmonious society","inclusive growth","people-oriented" and "China Dream" proposed by China’s government. Therefore, the problem of people of migrant workers has also become hot issues for discussion and study of urban planning academics, economists, social circles, as well as of government.This paper attempts to start from the perspective of supply and demand, combined with the labor transfer theory and some related economics theories to construct a theoretical framework to analyze the problem of becoming citizens of migrant workers based on supply and demand perspective. The article judged and analyzed the whole situation of supply status and trend of migrant workers, as well as the problem of supply and demand of urbanization, hoping to give related ideas and strategies to address the people of migrant workers in the new framework.The thesis is divided into seven chapters. Chapters I and II as the bedding and support of theoretical framework, proposed the research problem and its significance, judged the theory of the economics of supply and demand, and the rural surplus labor transfer theory and the existing research achievement of becoming citizens of migrant workers, briefly looked back of the history of migrant workers and urbanization. Based on these analyses, this paper defined some related concepts and gave preliminary interpretation from the supply and demand perspective. Chapter III, Chapters IV and V analyzed the existing problem of supply and demand for migrant workers and urban problems. These three chapters constitute the main part of the thesis. Chapter III analyzed from the level of the labor market, the supply situation of migrant workers, the first use of a variety of surplus agricultural labor force and the total amount of the surplus rural labor force status and development trend analysis to analyze the problems in the supply of migrant workers, followed by the structure level and, finally, the migrant workers in the labor market the contradiction of supply and demand. Chapter IV analyzed the supply problem for the urbanization of the demand for migrant workers, first constructed a theoretical model of the supply and demand of urbanization, the overall analysis of the supply and demand pattern of China’s urbanization, followed for migrant workers from the countryside to the cities and towns, the specific issues of urbanization supply-side research and analysis, and finally to analyze and summarize the problems of urbanization between the supply and demand of migrant workers. Chapter Ⅴ from the market-oriented factors, system factors, the urbanization strategy level factors and migrant workers own factors of four aspects of the root causes of the contradiction between supply and demand of migrant workers and urban in-depth analysis. Chapters Ⅵ and Ⅶ is the finishing of the paper. In this part the paper put forward corresponding countermeasures and ideas, and stated the conclusions and some research shortcomings of the paper. Chapter Ⅵ deals with two aspects of strategy and planning response. From the strategic aspect some policy recommendations and institutional proposals were given on the perspective of reasonable adjust of the supply and the demand. From the aspect of planning response, planning policy recommendations from the urban system, urban and rural development, and the protection of housing system were mainly given.
