The yacht industry is called " the huge business opportunities which floating in the golden waterway ". In the developed countries in Europe and America, as luxury consumption characteristics of water entertainment products, yacht, has gradually become a popular family and personal senior durable consumer goods like cars. But yacht industry has just started in China. However, with the rapid development of China’s economy, yacht economy also continues to heat up, more and more people begin to pay close attention to the yacht and boat, consumer demand is also increasing unceasingly.The China(Shanghai) boat show which is organized and held by S company was founded in1996.It has experienced17years of ups and downs from the start, and now has become China’s first big international yacht exhibition. Meanwhile, as the domestic yacht and related industry’s rapid development, other cities in China also realized the business opportunities and value, many other boat shows are being hosted in this country. For the boat show project of S company, how to establish and adjust the management strategy, and how to innovative operation mode, management&service, thus to breakthrough development bottleneck of S company’s boat show? This paper will mainly analyze and research this topic.Firstly, author gives out the detailed analysis of the development process of boat show in China and the status quo on the basis of summarizing the yacht industry manufacturing market and the consumer market at home and abroad. Secondly, through analyzing the other similar exhibitions of various data index comparison, and at the same time, by use of tools such as PEST, Boston matrix, SWOT and so on, the market status and comprehensive competitive power of boat show which is organized by S company are analyzed and summed up. Then, to list the existing problems of S company’s boat show through the questionnaire analysis result. At last, to propose the solutions by combing the overseas successful yacht shows’experience and the actual situation of S company’s boat show, and finally to organize the implementation.This thesis is going to help S company’s Shanghai boat show improve the comprehensive competitiveness, so as to have long-term and sustainable development. At the same time, this paper is also to provide a valuable research results and suggestions for boat show organizers in the establishment of innovation and development strategy and specific management operation in China.
